Iraqi analyst: Iran’s power indicators forced the US to negotiate.

According to Al-Ma’uluma, Iraqi political analyst Muhammad Ali emphasized that the risk of Iran’s response to any possible aggression by the Zionist regime and the US’s attention to the nature of this response caused Washington to negotiate with Tehran to resolve the issues.

He added: Iran was looking for real guarantees for the nuclear agreement before starting negotiations with the US. The Iranian side described the first stage of indirect negotiations with the US as positive and in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

The Iraqi analyst stated: These negotiations did not witness any concessions from the Iranian negotiating team. Although the US has pressure tools to escalate tensions in the region, Iran also has its levers to threaten the Zionist regime and close the Strait of Hormuz. For this reason, Tehran was convinced that the US had entered into negotiations because it was concerned about the risk of responding to any attack by the Zionist regime.
