In this exclusive interview, Iraqi expert Qassem Salman Al-Abudi said: Throughout history, the conflict between Palestine and the Zionist regime has been seen in two stages.
He continued: The first stage, the series of wars between the Arab countries and the Zionists in the fifties, sixties, and seventies of the last century, was a direct military war. In each battle, the Arabs were defeated, and the enemy occupied the lands of Shaan.
An Iraqi expert said: Only Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan participated in these wars, and the Persian Gulf countries refused to participate in the war with Israel on the pretext of not having a military at that time. It was a very complicated military defeat for the Arab countries.
Referring to the presence of some Arab nations in the war with Israel in the second phase, Al-Abudi said: The second phase of the struggle between the Palestinians and the Zionist regime began after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the overthrow of the puppet Shah regime, which had close relations with the Zionist regime. After the establishment of the Islamic government in Iran, Imam Khomeini (may God bless him and grant him peace) announced his readiness to support the Palestinian revolution at all levels and tried to mobilize the determination of the Arab countries in this field.
He stated: The fact is that the 8-year war did not stop the leaders of the Islamic Republic from supporting Palestine because the Islamic Republic supported the Palestinians in various political, economic, and military fields.
