Iraqi Foreign Minister: America did not ask us to cut ties with Iran.
Al Jazeera Qatar reported that Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said: “The United States has not asked us to sever our ties with Iran.”
In another part of his speech, he referred to the Israeli regime’s plan to attack Iraq and said: “The messages we have received show that the Zionist regime is planning to carry out a series of attacks on our country.”
The Iraqi Foreign Minister said: “The main priority of Iraqi diplomacy is to keep the country away from the danger of war.”
Hussein also said: “There are threats, and given Iraq’s geographical location [and its proximity to Iran], we are concerned about the consequences of any possible war against Tehran.”
