Pak Sahafat – Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani said on Friday during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly that burning the Holy Quran is a hateful crime that has targeted a quarter of the world’s population.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency’s report from Al Jazeera, Mohammad Shia al-Sudani added: The will of political agreement prevailed in the new Iraq and the coalition government succeeded in restoring trust in the political system. We made it our priority to recognize the scourge of corruption and fight against it.
He said: We ask friendly countries to help us fight corruption and recover looted property.
The Prime Minister of Iraq added, our foreign policy aims for Iraq to be part of the solution to any international problem. We are committed to the principles of international law and do not accept interference in our internal affairs under any pretext.

Al-Sudani also said: We are working to hold the 2023 Baghdad conference for economic integration and regional stability.
In another part of his speech, he added: We are suffering from the effects of drought and we ask the countries of the region to form a negotiation group within the framework of the climate agreement.
The Iraqi Prime Minister continued: The mission of this group in the climate agreement is to coordinate efforts to deal with drought and water supply.
Al-Sudani also said: As the international community, we have no choice but to intensify efforts to fight against drugs because of its close relationship with terrorism.
In the end, the Iraqi Prime Minister stated that our position regarding the right of Palestine to form an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is clear and stable, adding: We also support the territorial integrity and the people of Syria.
