Iraqi Prime Minister’s new stance on Iran-US talks.

According to the Iraqi Prime Minister’s Information Center, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani welcomed the ambassadors of the European Union and the permanent members of the Security Council to Iraq.

Al-Sudani said in the meeting: “We must all understand the danger of continuing the suffering of the Palestinian people and preventing the occupation regime from providing aid to continue to starve Gaza, which is considered a form of mass murder.”

Al-Sudani said: “Iraq is trying to play its regional role through legal, diplomatic, and humanitarian means, and at the same time, it is concerned about not entering into any conflict.”

The Iraqi Prime Minister said: “We are closely following the negotiations between Iran and the United States and hope that an agreement will be reached based on balanced and fair approaches. This case cannot be resolved by escalating tensions.”

Regarding Syria, Al-Sudani also said: “We will continue to support the brotherly Syrian people and strive to alleviate their suffering, and we encourage the new Syrian government to advance a comprehensive political process based on the principle of citizenship.”

Al-Sudani also said about Lebanon: “We support the political agreement in Lebanon and condemn the continuous aggression (by the Zionist regime) against this country, which has led to disruption in the process of stability and reconstruction in it.”
