Iraqi representative warns about worrying Turkish movements in Iraq.
According to Al-Ma’ulouma, Fadel Al-Malsalmawi, a representative of the Fatah coalition in the Iraqi parliament, stressed that the Turkish government is seeking to re-emphasize Abu Muhammad Al-Julani, the leader of the terrorists ruling Syria, in a new form in line with its political interests.
He added: This country is trying to change Al-Julani’s terrorist image and create a political cover for him. Ankara does not respect Iraq’s political sovereignty and interferes in our country’s internal affairs.
Al-Malsalmawi added: The military operation of Turkish forces inside Iraqi territory under the pretext of fighting terrorism is an expansionist plan against the security and stability of our country.
He stated: The Turkish government is seeking to repeat Al-Julani’s version in Iraq; this action is a direct threat to the sovereignty and national security of our country.
