ISIS

PNN – Reports indicate that ISIS messages appearing in neighborhoods of Idlib suggest the terrorist group is re-emerging following the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s regime and the rise to power of the Julani-led authorities in Syria.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Akhbar, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that earlier today, writings attributed to ISIS were scattered across Idlib and its surrounding areas, announcing the resumption of the group’s activities.

The city of Idlib and its suburbs are reportedly gripped by fear and panic following these messages and threats of ISIS’s return, as the Julani regime has been unable to establish security in Syria since taking power and overthrowing Assad. Moreover, armed clashes among factions loyal to this regime have intensified in various regions.

One of the messages reportedly stated: “ISIS will return soon.”

Previously, slogans supporting ISIS had also been painted on the walls of schools in the Muhkan area and the town of Al-Quriyah in eastern Deir ez-Zor.
