Islamic Jihad: Security Council resolution is partnership with the Zionist enemy

Islamic Jihad

PNN – The Islamic Jihad movement considered the U.S. plan to deploy an international force in Gaza as an effort to complete the Zionist instructions in Gaza, and emphasized that those implementing this plan are partners in the crimes of the Zionists.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting the Palestinian Shihab News Agency, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, in a statement, rejected the American plan that was approved last night at the United Nations Security Council, and stressed that this decision amounts to international tutelage over the Gaza Strip, which is rejected by all internal sectors and forces.

Islamic Jihad considered the purpose of this move to be achieving goals that the occupiers could not attain through their repeated wars. Moreover, this resolution seeks to separate the Gaza Strip from other Palestinian territories and impose a new reality on it that contradicts the nation’s established principles and deprives it of the right to self-determination.

Israel and the US have differing views on deploying international forces to Gaza.

The statement said: Our nation’s right to resist occupation with all legitimate means is a right guaranteed by international law, and the weapons of the resistance are the safeguard of this right. Therefore, any transfer of responsibilities to an international force within the framework of disarming the resistance is considered partnership with the enemy in implementing Zionist directives.

The statement emphasized that humanitarian aid, relief to the affected, and the reopening of crossings to the Gaza Strip are humanitarian duties, and Islamic Jihad condemns turning them into tools of political pressure or blackmail.

Islamic Jihad noted that imposing an American governmental body at the international level on a portion of the Palestinian people without their consent or approval is a violation of international law.

The statement added that this plan neglects fundamental aspects of justice and overlooks prosecuting the war criminals and holding the occupiers accountable for their ongoing crimes against our people. It also ignores the necessity of lifting the unjust blockade and reconnecting the Gaza Strip with the occupied territories, which indicates support for an agenda aimed at fragmenting the geography of Palestine and serving the annexation and displacement plans pursued by the Zionist regime.
