PNN – The Lebanese newspaper Al-Jumhuriya, quoting a senior political official, reported that in recent hours, intensive consultations have been held at various levels with several international and Arab parties for halts attacks on Beirut.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, after the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States, the Zionist regime intensified its attacks on Lebanon, especially Beirut, but after pressure from Tehran and some foreign countries, the Zionist attacks on Lebanon have decreased.
The Lebanese newspaper “Al-Jumhuriya” reported, quoting a senior political official, that intensive consultations have been held at various levels with several international and Arab parties in recent hours.
According to the newspaper, these efforts led to the formation of a diplomatic umbrella of support for Lebanon’s position, which demanded that the country’s name be included in the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States.
This is despite the fact that Islamic Republic officials have repeatedly emphasized that the ceasefire agreement with the United States must include all resistance fronts, including Lebanon.
The Americans, as usual, gave the green light to launch widespread attacks on Lebanon, especially Beirut; in response to these aggressions, our country’s armed forces closed the Strait of Hormuz once again, which caused foreign parties to put pressure on the Zionists to end their attacks on Lebanon.
The Al-Jumhuriya newspaper further reported that the new development is the American position that has confirmed that Lebanon is also implicitly included in the process of reducing tension and stopping attacks; this means that the ceasefire will also be implemented in Lebanon in the coming hours, and the relevant authorities have also been informed of this matter.
According to the report, Iran and Pakistan’s insistence that Lebanon be included in the agreement, along with the positions of Europe, Britain, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar and other countries, and the steadfastness of the Lebanese people, changed the equations after “Bloody Wednesday.”
The newspaper also wrote that eyes are now on the coming hours to implement a ceasefire in Lebanon and begin negotiations; unless Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commits a new madness.
This is while Ali Fayyad, a Hezbollah representative in the Lebanese parliament, emphasized that the movement is opposed to direct negotiations with Israel; therefore, the Lebanese government must propose a ceasefire as a condition.
Fayyad also said that the Lebanese government’s priority is the withdrawal of Zionist troops from the country and the return of refugees.
