Israel has agreed to the US proposal to reach an agreement with Hamas and is waiting for a response.

According to Al Jazeera, a senior Zionist official stated that Tel Aviv has agreed to the American proposal to reach a “middle agreement” with the Hamas movement, and announced that the predictions are that the Hamas movement will respond to this proposal within the next 48 hours.

In a conversation with the Israel Radio and Television Organization, this Zionist official emphasized that a solution can be reached regarding the northern areas of the Gaza Strip, and there is optimism regarding the issue of the return of Palestinian refugees to the north of the Gaza Strip, which was preventing an agreement from being reached.

He continued: The Israeli negotiating team headed by David Barnia, head of the Mossad, returned to Tel Aviv last night from Doha to inform the Israeli authorities about the process of indirect negotiations with Hamas in the capital of Qatar.

The Zionist official added: Yoaf Gallant, Israel’s Defense (War) Minister, is traveling to Washington today and is going to meet with the head of the CIA. The security delegation chaired by Gallant in Washington will discuss the coordination of the continuation of the war, the attack on Rafah, humanitarian efforts, and the aid port on the coast of Gaza. Gallant is expected to be in Washington to discuss the shipment of ammunition to Israel, which is vital to the continuation of the war.
