Israel is concerned about Egypt and Saudi Arabia’s growing strategic alliance in the Red Sea.
A Zionist news outlet has reported that Egypt and Saudi Arabia are rapidly carrying out joint military movements to protect their common interests in the Red Sea and its surrounding countries.
The Zionist website “Natio Net” reported on this matter: This action is considered to go beyond the two countries’ side disputes and could pave the way for the creation of a strategic security alliance and even joint military intervention in the near future.
According to the report, the new cooperation has been formed following regional competition for influence in the vital trade and energy route of the Red Sea, and the countries of the region have entered into intense competition to control vital ports and passages.
In this regard, recent diplomatic and military visits, including the meeting of the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Army with Saudi officials and the meeting of the President of Eritrea with the President of Egypt, have been interpreted as signs of unofficial security coordination between the two Arab powers.
According to the report, the main goal of this coordination is to support the legal army of Sudan and prevent the infiltration of foreign forces into the country’s strategic ports, especially the port of Port Sudan.
The news site also emphasized that the Red Sea is a vital artery for Egypt and Saudi Arabia due to the passage of the bulk of Saudi oil exports to Europe and the United States and its direct connection to the Suez Canal, as well as an important source of Egyptian national income.
In another part of the report, military movements on the Ethiopian-Eritrean front and Ethiopian threats to seize the port of Assab with the support of the Zionist regime are considered, and the possibility of joint Egyptian-Saudi military intervention to protect Eritrea is raised.
It is also predicted that in Sudan, direct support for the military and joint air strikes against armed groups will be implemented as the first step to restore stability to the Red Sea region and protect the national security of the two countries.
