PNN – Italian lawyer Francesca Albanese remained in her position as the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Occupied Palestine, despite the efforts and serious opposition of the Zionist lobby.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, despite extensive efforts by the Israeli regime to remove Francesca Albanese, the UN Human Rights Council extended her mandate as the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation in occupied Palestine until 2028.
According to a report by Yedioth Ahronoth, her appointment was supported by 47 member states of the Human Rights Council, despite opposition from the Israeli regime, Argentina, and Hungary, and her term in office was therefore extended for another three years.
Albanze is an Italian professor of international law at Georgetown University in the United States who previously worked with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
She was initially appointed as the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Occupied Territories in April 2022. However, she was constantly under fierce attack by supporters of the Israeli regime for exposing the crimes of the Zionist regime in the occupied territories.

Albanese, whose mandate was extended by the Human Rights Council for another three years, describes the Israeli regime’s actions in Gaza as full-scale genocide. She has repeatedly said that there are clear indications that the Israeli regime has violated at least three of the five acts listed in the UN Genocide Convention. In addition, she has repeatedly documented the Israeli regime’s war crimes in Gaza, which has made this lawyer’s role one of the most controversial at the United Nations.
According to Yedioth Aharonot, earlier in 2022, Human Rights Watch published a report claiming that Albanza’s appointment contradicted the principle that UN experts must act objectively and impartially.
The Zionist newspaper added: Albanese is active on social media and has made various statements against the Zionist regime. In 2014, Albanese wrote on X Network (formerly Twitter) that America is a slave to the Jewish lobby. Also in the same year, in a message, he accused the BBC of collaborating with the Zionist lobby.
According to the published report, the Italian lawyer’s statements against the Zionist regime went so far that in January 2015, immediately after the terrorist attack at Charlie Hebdo, she published an article by the Press TV network of the Islamic Republic of Iran titled “The CIA and Mossad carried out the attack in Paris.”
According to the report of this Zionist newspaper, Albanese has repeatedly supported Hamas and even called Operation Storm Al-Aqsa the result of the Zionist regime’s oppression of the people of Gaza, saying: Today’s violence by Hamas must be seen in a broader context.
The Italian lawyer also pointed the finger of blame at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in various statements on the X-Channel for the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza, comparing him to Adolf Hitler and comparing the current Israeli policy to that of the Nazis. He also described Gaza as the largest and most shameful concentration camp of the 21st century.
Israeli authorities have also filed multiple lawsuits against Albanzeh for revealing the facts of the regime’s aggression on Gaza and the killing of civilians in his report, and have even accused his wife of collaborating with the Palestinian Authority.
