Israel searches for the bodies of prisoners behind the “Yellow Line”

According to the Israeli TV Channel 11 (Kan), a security source revealed that Israeli authorities have told the families of Israeli prisoners that they have begun the search for the bodies of Israeli prisoners remaining in Gaza behind the “Yellow Line” in the Gaza Strip. The Yellow Line is a hypothetical border strip to which the Israeli regime has withdrawn from part of the Gaza Strip within the framework of the first phase of the agreement. The area behind the Yellow Line is an area where the Israeli army is still present.

According to this security source, the search for the 13 dead prisoners who are still in Gaza is being carried out after intelligence assessments in the area under the control of the Israeli army, which includes about 53 percent of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli forces are carrying out this operation while, according to the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, an international special force should take over the search for Israeli prisoners.

Hamas has also stressed that the search for the bodies of the prisoners will take time and that, according to the Gaza ceasefire agreement, an international committee should be formed to help find the burial sites of the bodies of Israeli prisoners in Gaza.

According to the Zionist media, Israeli officials were opposed to the presence of any foreign forces, especially Turkey and Qatar, to take over the search operation, claiming that Hamas knows the location of the bodies and does not need foreign help.

However, last night (Saturday), under pressure from US President Donald Trump, they agreed with Egyptian special forces to enter the Gaza Strip with special engineering tools.

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera published images showing that the Egyptian special forces and heavy equipment had reached Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

However, based on reports from Zionist sources, Israeli assessments from the beginning indicated that the complex process of handing over the bodies would take weeks.

The International Committee of the Red Cross has also confirmed that the time it takes to search for and find bodies depends on field conditions, as the ruins of Gaza pose a major challenge to search operations, especially since the area has been bombed with 200,000 tons of explosives by the Israeli army.
