Israel-Türkiye talks on Syria fail

PNN – Israeli media revealed that no agreement has been reached between Israel and Türkiye regarding Syria.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, Israeli media reported, citing the Israel Broadcasting Organization, that during recent talks between Israeli and Turkish delegations in Baku, no agreement was reached regarding the situation in Syria.

These talks, which were held to discuss the situation in Syria, ended without any tangible results.

At the same time as the report, the Israel Broadcasting Corporation announced that a new meeting between the Israeli and Turkish delegations will be held after the Jewish holiday of Passover. The meeting will be aimed at continuing the talks and trying to reach new understandings on issues related to Syria.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that the first technical meeting between Ankara and Tel Aviv aimed at creating a mechanism to prevent conflict between the two sides in Syria was held in Baku.

The statement said that the purpose of this meeting was to establish a mechanism to prevent conflicts and undesirable incidents in Syria.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense further called for an immediate halt to the provocative attacks by the Zionist regime, stating that these attacks harm Syria’s territorial integrity and threaten the country’s security and stability.

The ministry added that in order to establish regional security, the Zionist regime must abandon its expansionist and occupationist positions, and the international community must assume responsibility for preventing these illegal actions.

News media had previously revealed that the Israeli regime and Türkiye were negotiating with each other, with the mediation of the United States, to prevent tension and military conflict in Syria.

The Middle East Eye website reported on Monday, citing two unnamed Western sources, that Turkey and the Israeli regime are in direct talks with each other with the aim of military coordination in Syria.
