Israel Unveils “Iron Beam” Laser Defense System After Recent Attacks.
According to Hebrew-language media reports, the Or Eitan system has now entered the army’s operational cycle after extensive tests that included intercepting rockets, mortars, and drones. The unveiling ceremony took place while the Zionist regime had unveiled this weapons system in previous years and at various historical points, but so far, there has been no specific performance of this system, and all the Zionist claims in this regard have no operational basis.
The Zionist regime’s defense failure in the imposed 12-day war and the conflict with Lebanon’s Hezbollah
Hebrew-language news sources claimed that the Or Eitan laser defense system was used by the Zionist army before its official unveiling, during the conflict with Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Iran. According to Israeli media reports, during the 12-day Iran-Israel war, more than 50 Iranian missiles passed through defense systems such as the Iron Dome and hit their targets. During the conflict with Lebanon’s Hezbollah, we also witnessed the movement’s drones pass through the defense layers of the Israeli army many times.
Therefore, the unveiling of the Or Eitan is more than an operational upgrade; it is a show with psychological and political goals to restore the damaged security reputation and send a message of threat to the axis of resistance, a threat whose absurdity will be more newsworthy than the achievements of this system. The Israeli regime will benefit from its psychological shadow rather than from the seemingly iron rays of this new system.
Iran’s extensive missile and drone attacks on the occupied territories during Operations Sadeq Promise 1, 2, and 3 revealed the vulnerability of the Israeli army’s multilayered defense system. Contrary to past propaganda about the invulnerability of air defenses, Iranian missiles were able to penetrate them and cause damage and casualties. This event was considered a major strategic and psychological setback for Israel. On the other hand, Israel’s counterattacks on Iran, although accompanied by claims of damaging Iran’s defense network, failed to completely erase this image of vulnerability.
In such a context, the unveiling of a “revolutionary” defense system with the claim of creating a “new threat equation” looks more like a psychological move to regain lost authority and instill technological superiority in domestic and foreign audiences.
