Israeli army admits broadcasting Netanyahu’s speech in Gaza was a mistake.

According to the Ma’ariv newspaper, senior commanders of the Israeli army admitted that the decision to bring loudspeakers behind the Gaza border fence to broadcast Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly was a serious mistake and a complete error.

They admitted that the decision had seriously damaged the image of the army and a number of commanders, including Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the Army, and Yaniv Assur, the head of the Southern Command.

In this regard, many senior officers of the Israeli army’s spokesman unit also opposed the decision and expressed their anger.

Ma’ariv quoted a senior official as saying that the order issued by Netanyahu, against the wishes of the army commanders, was like crushing military formations under the wheels of trucks.

According to a senior military source, when Netanyahu issued the order to install loudspeakers behind the Gaza fences, the IDF Chief of Staff opposed it and said during the broadcast of Netanyahu’s speech at the UN that “I must plan the clashes from now on to confront the political authorities.”

Netanyahu’s order also angered the Israeli military, with much criticism directed at the Chief of Staff, who had accepted the order. Therefore, the Israeli military admitted last night (Friday) that this decision was a serious mistake and a pure error, and that they had not anticipated the large amount of criticism from the military, the families of prisoners of war, the families of the military, and other Israelis.

Yesterday, on Netanyahu’s order, the Israeli army broadcast his speech at the UN through loudspeakers mounted on trucks and walls near the residents of Gaza, to increase psychological pressure on them. At the same time as Netanyahu’s speech was broadcast over loudspeakers, the regime’s military intelligence unit 8200 hacked into the mobile phones of Gaza residents and made them the target of Netanyahu’s threats.

Addressing Gaza residents at the United Nations, Netanyahu said that the war in Gaza would only end if all Israeli prisoners were released, Hamas disarmed, and the Gaza Strip demilitarized.
