Israeli army chief fired senior commanders for failure.

According to the Israeli I24 network, following an internal investigation into the unprecedented Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, the regime’s army chief of staff, Eyal Zamir, decided on Sunday to dismiss several high-ranking officers.

According to the report, Zamir removed the former head of the operations branch from reserve service and also dismissed the head of the intelligence branch in the Gaza Brigade for his role in the failures of that day.

The Israeli television channel added: In addition, the commander of Unit 8200 was also dismissed from reserve service.

The Israeli army chief of staff also summoned a number of senior officers of the regime who were present in key positions on October 7 and informed them of the decisions made, which in some cases amounted to complete dismissal from service.

On October 7, 2023, the Hamas movement attacked military bases and settlements around Gaza with Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and captured a number of Israeli soldiers and settlers.

Hamas then announced that the operation was carried out in response to the daily crimes of the Israeli occupation regime against the Palestinian people and their holy sites.

Israeli officials admit that the events of October 7, 2023, were the regime’s biggest intelligence and military failure in recent decades and seriously damaged the credibility of Tel Aviv and the Israeli army globally.

Earlier, the Zionist newspaper Yedioth Aharonot reported that the Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, Eyal Zamir, decided to take measures against a number of senior officers and make decisions against them after announcing the results of the investigation committee headed by General Sami Tarjuman, regarding the causes of the regime’s failure in Operation Storm Al-Aqsa on October 7, 2023.
