These statements are made at a time when the situation of Netanyahu’s cabinet in the occupied territories has been severely shaken.
According to the results of a new poll published on Tuesday, only 15 percent of Israelis want Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to remain in power after the end of the Gaza war.
According to Reuters, in the “Israel Democracy Institute” (IDI) poll, Netanyahu’s political rival and partner in the war cabinet, Benny Gantz, won the support of 23 percent of the people participating in the poll. About 30 percent did not say who they prefer.
Netanyahu said on Saturday that the war in Gaza will last several months. His popularity has fallen sharply in successive polls conducted in the occupied Palestinian territories since the Palestinian Resistance’s Operation Storm Al-Aqsa in October.
Earlier, a survey by the 13 TV channel of the Zionist regime showed that if general elections are held in occupied Palestine, the seats of Netanyahu’s Likud party in the parliament (Knesset) of this regime will be reduced to 16 seats.
The network reported that the coalition of parties in the current Tel Aviv cabinet will lose the majority of the Knesset in the new elections because their total number of seats will not exceed 45.
On the other hand, Netanyahu’s opposition parties gain 71 seats out of 120 Knesset seats, achieving the majority of this regime’s parliament.
