Israeli army mistakenly killed three hostages in Gaza.
The spokesman of the Israeli army admitted on Tuesday that the soldiers of this regime mistakenly killed three prisoners held in Gaza.

The spokesman of the Israeli army said on Friday that the soldiers of this regime mistakenly targeted and killed three prisoners held in Gaza.

The spokesman of the Israeli army said: “During the combat operation in Shujaiyah (in northern Gaza), the army mistakenly identified three of the hostages as threats. As a result, our forces shot at them and they were killed.”

He added: “During the search and inspection in the area where this happened, we suspected the identity of the deceased. “Their bodies were taken to Israel for further investigation and after the investigations, it was determined that they were three of the hostages.”

The Israeli army announced the names of two of these people, Yotam Hayim and Samer Talaka, and said that the family of the third person requested that his name not be published.

Hagari claimed that the Israeli army has started investigating this issue. He stated: “The Israeli army emphasizes that we are in an active war zone, where there has been continuous fighting over the past few days. We have learned lessons from this incident that we have passed on to all the army soldiers in the field.”

Earlier, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office announced that estimates show that 132 Israeli prisoners are still imprisoned in Gaza, of which 112 are believed to be alive and 20 of them are believed to have been killed.

According to CNN, out of these 132 people, 113 are men and 19 are women, two children are under 18 years old, and 10 people are over 75 years old.

Among them are 121 Israelis and 11 foreign nationals, including 8 Thais, 1 Nepali, 1 Tanzanian, and a Mexican-French dual citizen.

In this statement, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office also announced that 110 live prisoners were released by Hamas during the prisoner exchange agreement, of which 86 were Israelis and 24 were foreigners.

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, on the 7th of October (15th of Mehr) in response to more than seven decades of occupation of Palestine and nearly two decades of siege of Gaza and imprisonment and torture of thousands of Palestinians, began the operation known as “Al-Aqsa Storm”.

This operation was one of the deadliest attacks against this regime. Hamas fighters penetrated the occupied territories through the border fences at several points, attacked the villages, and besides killing a large number of Israelis, captured a number of them.

In response to this operation, the Zionist regime launched heavy attacks against Gaza and put this area under complete siege. More than 18,000 people, most of whom are women and children, have been martyred in these attacks so far. Despite this, as analysts say, the al-Aqsa storm operation has imposed a major security-political defeat on Israel.

The wrongful death of the three captives is expected to increase pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In the past days, he has been heavily criticized on the one hand because of the security-intelligence failure of the October 7 attack and on the other hand because of his inability to return the prisoners from Gaza.

Mariva Zanzin, one of the analysts of the International Crisis Group, said about 10 days ago that the families of the Gaza prisoners are “extremely angry” that the Israeli army resumed military operations in Gaza before completing the prisoner exchange process with Hamas.

Before that, on December 14, Channel 12 of the Zionist regime had reported chaos in the meeting between the families of the prisoners in Gaza with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel.

This media had reported that Netanyahu informed Osra’s family in this meeting that he could not return all the prisoners. After that, the meeting was chaotic and the families of the prisoners left the meeting.
