Israeli fighter jets fly over southern Syria, escalating fighting in Sweida

PNN – Syrian sources reported that Israeli warplanes were flying over southern Syria and that fighting had resumed in Sweida.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Marsad, Syrian sources reported that Israeli warplanes flew over the village of Ariqah in the western suburbs of Sweida and the new town in the northwestern suburbs of Daraa, as well as the Khan Arnabeh area in the Quneitra suburbs.

These sources pointed to the launch of hot air balloons in the sky of Sweida province, which has caused concern and panic in southern areas of Syria.

On the other hand, Syrian sources pointed to the resumption of clashes in the towns of Ariqah, Rima Hazem, and Shahba in Sweida province. These clashes were carried out with medium weapons and mortars.

Syrian sources pointed to the heavy damage inflicted on the town of Ariqah and the burning of many residential buildings as a result of the attacks.

This is despite the fact that a ceasefire had previously been announced in Al-Sweida.
