Israeli Foreign minister is optimistic about the normalization of relations with Riyadh’

Israeli Foreign minister is optimistic about the normalization of relations with Riyadh within the next six months.

According to Al-Arabiya, the Zionist regime says that the framework agreement for the normalization of relations with Saudi Arabia is possible until the beginning of 2024, that is, less than six months from now. In this regard, the Israeli foreign minister said: “A framework with the mediation of the United States to establish relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia may be implemented by the beginning of next year.”

Earlier, Biden expressed optimism about the prospect of talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday. Also, “Mohammed bin Salman”, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, said in a conversation with Fox News: “We are getting closer to an agreement every day.”

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen also told Israel Army Radio: “The gaps can be filled. It will take time. But there is progress. “I think there’s certainly a possibility that in the first quarter of 2024, which is four or five months from now, we could be at a point where the details (of a deal) are finalized.”

There are conflicting statements about the normalization of relations between the Israeli and Saudi regimes. Two days ago, amid conflicting reports, the US State Department announced that negotiations for a possible normalization agreement between Tel Aviv and Riyadh are continuing.

This statement by the US State Department came in the wake of reports that Saudi Arabia has suspended negotiations with the Israeli regime regarding a potential normalization agreement.

Despite these reports, the US State Department claims that Washington maintains its commitment to advance the regional integrity of Tel Aviv’s position, especially through active diplomacy aimed at strengthening normalization with Saudi Arabia. America has also emphasized its commitment to further talks with Tel Aviv and Riyadh in this regard.

While Saudi Arabia has not yet officially recognized the Israeli regime and did not participate in the 2020 Ibrahim agreement brokered by Donald Trump, American officials now consider the prospect of normalizing relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv as likely.

Last week, an official in the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Riyadh has informed Washington that it will stop any negotiations related to the normalization of relations with Tel Aviv or any action towards it.

Earlier, a spokesperson of the US Foreign Ministry confirmed in a conversation with the Zionist newspaper “Israel Hum” that despite the intensive and many efforts made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and American diplomats over the past few months, there is little chance of reaching a normal agreement. There is a connection between Tel Aviv and Riyadh.

The report of the Zionist newspaper “Israel Hum” states that “Israel” and Saudi Arabia are currently not close to a normalization agreement.

The spokesperson of the US Department of State told the Zionist newspaper after the meeting between the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and the Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer that Israel and Saudi Arabia are in no way to reach a normalization agreement. They are not close and the differences are still there.

The spokesman of the US State Department, who did not disclose his name, Israel Hume, also said: “It is too early to say that we are close to any agreement.” He noted that “there are issues that the two sides must resolve by themselves.”

During his speech, the American official emphasized that such an agreement for the normalization of relations between Tel Aviv and Riyadh is in the interest of the United States, and noted that the American government fully supports the normalization of relations between Riyadh and Israel, and talks with its regional partners, including Saudi Arabia will continue to discuss how and if it is possible to continue moving forward in this direction.
