Israeli Foreign Minister seeks mediating countries’ help with recovering bodies of Israeli prisoners.
According to Al Jazeera Mubasher, he added: “We expect the mediating countries to help us with the issue of returning the bodies of the prisoners.”
Claiming that Tel Aviv is committed to US President Donald Trump’s plan, he said: “The only chance to achieve stability in the region lies in implementing the Trump plan, and we want it to succeed.”
He further claimed that the Islamic resistance movement Hamas is violating the plan by continuing to hold the bodies of 19 Israeli prisoners.
According to IRNA, the Sharm el-Sheikh meeting was held on Monday, October 11, 1404, hosted by Egypt and co-chaired by Egyptian and US Presidents Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Donald Trump, and the heads and representatives of more than 20 countries, including England, France, Germany, Norway, Qatar, Turkey, Jordan, and the Palestinian Authority, attended the meeting.
Trump and the leaders of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, the countries that played a key role in the agreement, held the official signing ceremony of the Gaza peace plan. But it is noteworthy that the two main parties to the agreement, Israel and Hamas, were not present at the signing ceremony.
The US President signed the so-called Gaza peace agreement with other regional leaders at the meeting and then left Egypt for Washington.
