PNN – An Israeli army official, referring to the inability of defense systems to intercept missiles fired at northern occupied Palestine, announced that the missile hitting a building in Haifa was one of the most serious security incidents in recent years.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; An Israeli army official admitted to the Ma’ariv newspaper that the regime’s defense systems failed to intercept an Iranian missile fired at northern occupied Palestine.
This admission comes as Israeli media reported last night that a massive explosion had occurred in an area in the city of Haifa, while warning sirens sounded in several areas, including the Golan Heights and the Galilee region, due to a barrage of Iranian missiles.
Emphasizing that “there was no flaw in the interception system,” the military official stated that the heavy warhead of the Iranian missile split in mid-air before hitting the interceptor missile and then hit a building in the center of the Carmel area; an incident that, according to him, marked one of the most serious security incidents in Haifa in recent years.
He also admitted that over the past 24 hours, the Israeli defense systems have failed to intercept two missiles fired from Iran, one in the south and the other in Haifa.
This comes after media sources had previously reported that Iranian armed forces had inflicted extensive damage on Israeli infrastructure and facilities in Haifa in a missile attack last night.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper also reported that one of the Iranian missiles hit a building in Haifa, completely destroying it, killing four people and injuring 11 others. The media outlet assessed the possibility that more people were trapped under the rubble as very high.
Meanwhile, Yedioth Ahronoth analyst Bandar Yamini acknowledged Israel’s helplessness against Iran and Hezbollah, stressing that “the era of victories is over” and that Israeli politicians should stop “empty slogans and fanciful claims.” He warned that claiming defeat for Iran and Hezbollah could lead to a “disappointing shock” for the Zionist regime.
