Israeli Minister: Gaza War Should Stop, I’m Leaving the Cabinet.
An extremist minister in the Israeli regime’s cabinet has warned that if the cabinet stops the Gaza war, he will withdraw his party from the coalition cabinet.
“Bezalel Smotrich” the Minister of the Interior of the Zionist regime warned on Tuesday that if the cabinet of this regime stops the war in Gaza, his party will withdraw from the coalition cabinet.
Speaking among his fellow party members, he said: “I want to be completely clear, the cabinet has no choice to stop the war before achieving its goals, which are the destruction of Hamas, the return of the kidnapped, and the elimination of the threat of Gaza Strip.”
Smotrich warned: “If the cabinet agrees to stop the war or to control Gaza by self-governing bodies or Hamas, we will withdraw our party from the cabinet.”
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, promised again on Tuesday to release them in a situation where the issue of Israeli prisoners has become one of the Achilles’ heels of his war cabinet.
Netanyahu has come under pressure in recent days, on the one hand, due to the political-security failure of the cabinet in “Operation Defensive Shield” on October 7th, and on the other hand due to the failure to reach an agreement with Hamas for the release of Israeli prisoners.
The Prime Minister of Israel promised on Tuesday to make “all possible efforts” to bring back the Israeli prisoners. He also said: “One thing we are not doing is stopping the war.”
Some experts say that Netanyahu sees the continuation of the war as the only way to control public dissatisfaction and being marginalized from the power arena.
