Israeli Ministry of Health: New Chinese virus causes increase in deaths in occupied Palestine

PNN – A report by the Israeli Ministry of Health’s Respiratory Viral Infections Surveillance Unit on Wednesday claimed that 115 cases of the new Chinese virus were identified among patients and residents of the occupied Palestinian territories.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Palestinian news agency “Ma’a”, the report from the Israeli Ministry of Health’s Respiratory Viral Infections Surveillance Unit added that these cases are considered additional and that they now, along with more than 300 patients infected with the HMPV virus, constitute about 18 percent of all samples tested among patients hospitalized for treatment of the virus.

The report indicates that the number of people infected with the virus in the occupied Palestinian territories has continued to increase since the first report of the outbreak of the virus in China and the discovery of seven cases in the occupied Palestinian territories since the beginning of January.

According to the Zionist website Vala, this virus is not new, but it is still of concern due to the increasing number of infected people, and the Israeli Ministry of Health continues to monitor the results.

This is a respiratory virus that causes symptoms similar to the common cold and flu. Although the illness is usually mild, it can lead to serious complications such as pneumonia, especially in infants, the elderly, and people with compromised immune systems.

According to this report, since the beginning of the season (late September until the beginning of this week), 362 people in the occupied Palestinian territories have died from the virus.
