According to this high-ranking Israeli official, after a thorough analysis of Hamas’s response, he has reached this conclusion: Hamas’ response and Steve Whittaker’s proposal are two separate things, and they are far from Israel’s proposal.
According to this official, Hamas’ demands include a seven-year ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of the Israeli army from the areas it has occupied since March, the cancellation of the new mechanism for distributing humanitarian aid through the Gaza Relief Foundation (an American organization), and a return to the previous distribution process.
Another part of the report states that, according to published reports, Hamas has demanded guarantees from President Donald Trump for the sustainability of the ceasefire.
An Israeli source also claimed that Hamas’ response to the Wittkoff plan is actually to present a new plan for a ceasefire, while (the pressure on this Palestinian group) was for the full and complete acceptance of the Wittkoff plan.
