Israeli prosecutors oppose a two-week postponement of Netanyahu’s trial.

Israeli prosecutors oppose a two-week postponement of Netanyahu’s trial.

The decision was made after Israeli media reported yesterday that Netanyahu had requested a delay in his trial on corruption charges (bribery, breach of trust, and fraud) on the pretext of security issues.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to appear in court next Monday to answer his corruption charges.

The Israeli Prime Minister is facing four charges in the Israeli court for fraud, breach of trust, and bribery, one of which is a corruption case known as “Case 1000.”

In this case, Netanyahu is accused of receiving gifts worth 700,000 shekels from Arnon Milchan, an Israeli producer in Hollywood and a wealthy businessman.

According to the Israeli prosecutor, he helped Milchan secure his business interests in exchange for expensive gifts, including alcohol and cigarettes.

Case 4000 also concerns the Israeli Prime Minister’s dealings with the owner of the Bezeq telecommunications company, the company that owns the Walla Walla news outlet. According to the Israeli prosecutor’s report, Netanyahu is accused of widespread corruption in this case.

Netanyahu is accused in this case of providing millions of dollars in financial facilities to Shaul Elwich, the owner of the company, so that Walla Walla news outlet could provide media support for the Prime Minister and his family.
