Israeli soldiers’ horrifying confessions about the Gaza war.

An Israeli soldier revealed in a rare interview with Sky News that the regime’s soldiers in the Gaza Strip were ordered to kill anyone who entered the so-called restricted areas, regardless of whether the target was a threat or not. He says that civilians were often the victims of these orders, and the criteria for shooting them changed depending on the commander’s opinion and mood from day to day.

According to IRNA, the soldier, whose identity has been withheld to avoid any interference by Israeli military institutions, told Sky News: “The order was clear; anyone who enters the restricted area must be killed. It doesn’t matter who they are. If they are inside that area, they are dangerous and must be killed.”

He added, “In areas where we were stationed near civilian neighborhoods, we seized a house of displaced Palestinian residents and chose it as our base. We had set up an imaginary border around that house that, according to the commanders, everyone in Gaza knew about and knew not to cross. But how could they really know about such a thing?”

“In practice, anyone who crossed the line was often shot immediately, even a teenager riding a bicycle,” he said. “The commanders always said that if someone entered this area, they knew they shouldn’t be here and therefore they were terrorists. But I don’t think that’s true. It’s just poor, innocent people who don’t really have a choice.”

The Israeli soldier described his deployment area as a strip called the Netzarim Corridor, a narrow strip from west to east of Gaza that was intended to cut off the north and south of the area. He said that some commanders there would decide at their own discretion who should be killed and who should be arrested.

He recounts one example: “A man crossed the line and was shot. Hours later, another man came to help him. This time, the commander decided to take him alive. But a few hours later, the order changed again: whoever crosses the line will be shot directly.”

The Israeli soldier emphasized that some commanders “easily commit war crimes and brutal acts without facing the consequences.” According to him, the prevailing atmosphere among the Israeli military was based on the idea that “no one in Gaza is innocent.”

Referring to the closed and self-censored atmosphere of Israeli society, he added, “It is very difficult to criticize the army or its actions in Israel. For many, the army is part of their identity and social status. I worry that by making such statements, they will be seen as a traitor or an outcast. But I think that if someone does something bad, they should make up for it by doing something good. That is what I want to do.”

He stressed, “This war is very destructive for both us and the Palestinians, and it must end. Many people do not really know what they are supporting. If they knew exactly what was happening, they would probably not agree with it.”

According to IRNA, the Zionist regime launched a devastating war against the Gaza Strip on October 15, 1402, which has left more than 57,000 martyrs and tens of thousands injured. This war has not only caused widespread destruction of the region’s infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, and water and electricity supply networks, but has also led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, severe food shortages, and an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.

Images released from Gaza show the complete destruction of residential neighborhoods, long lines of people waiting to receive the little humanitarian aid that is available, and hospitals that are unable to provide medical services due to a lack of medicine and fuel.
