Israelis are concerned about the boycott of their athletes in the Paris Olympics.
In a letter to the head of the 2024 Olympic organizing committee, a group of non-representatives of the government’s opposition parties in the French parliament demanded that the Zionist regime be banned from participating in the Olympic sports events hosted by Paris.
Al-Quds al-Arabi news site reported on Saturday that 26 members representing two left-wing French opposition parties, including the “Unyielding France” party and the “Green” party affiliated with the “Nupez” coalition, sent a letter to Thomas Bach, the head of the International Olympic Committee, with Condemning the unprecedented crime of the Zionist regime in Gaza, they demanded the boycott of the Zionist regime from this sports event hosted by France.
The representatives of the French leftist parties stated in this letter that due to “Israel’s war crimes against the Palestinian people”, this regime has no right to appear in these competitions with its flag and should enter these competitions with a “neutral flag”.
These representatives wrote: The same sanctions imposed against Russia and Belarus should be imposed against Israel during the Olympic Games.
The 2024 Paris Olympics will be held from July 26 to August 11 and the Paris 2024 Paralympics will be held from August 28 to September 8
