Qassem Hashem emphasized: The relations between the people of the south and the peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) are excellent, and they have special social relations due to the development and health services they have provided.
He also said: Efforts should be made to strengthen the army’s capabilities and facilities. Helping Lebanon is everyone’s responsibility.
Continuing the ceasefire violation in Lebanon, Israeli drones targeted the Ain al-Hilweh camp in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon on Tuesday night, killing 13 people, according to the latest reports.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health had previously announced that 11 people were killed and 4 others were injured in the attack.
Israeli regime began its aggression against Lebanon on October 1, 2024 and two months later, on Wednesday, December 7, 2021, it signed a ceasefire with the mediation of the United States.
Accordingly, the Israeli military was supposed to withdraw from southern Lebanon within 60 days, but the regime, contrary to international law, kept its troops in five strategic positions in the region and did not leave. The Israeli army has violated the ceasefire agreement thousands of times since it was signed.
