Israel’s death trap for Palestinians under the pretext of food distribution

PNN – Haaretz today reported on the shooting of Palestinians by the Israeli army while waiting in line to receive food at humanitarian aid distribution centers in the southern Gaza Strip. These centers have become death traps for Palestinians, who must choose between starvation and the risk of being killed while waiting in line to receive food.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, hospital news sources in the Gaza Strip reported (Tuesday) that 17 people were killed and about 100 injured after Israeli soldiers opened fire on Palestinians at the food distribution center of the American-Israeli Fund for Humanitarian Aid on the Nazarim axis in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to reports published in the Gaza Strip, the injured were taken to Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City and Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

In this regard, the Israeli army announced that its forces shot at suspects who were endangering food distribution areas hundreds of meters away.

An eyewitness to the incident said that Palestinians waiting for food distribution were hit by Israeli bullets and artillery fire. However, the humanitarian aid fund has not yet responded to these reports.

The Israeli army spokesman, while projecting, claimed that the shooting occurred before the aid distribution center’s working hours. Last Friday, the Israeli military announced that access to food distribution centers in the Gaza Strip would only be allowed for 12 hours, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, those seeking aid are lining up before the centers open to receive packages.

Palestinian sources protested this move, stating that the Zionist regime is forcing the people of Gaza to choose between starving and risking death in the deadly traps of the American-Israeli Fund for Humanitarian Aid food distribution centers.

In this regard, the Red Cross reported last week that at least 413 wounded people were transferred to the organization’s field hospital in Rafah over three days, and they said that they were hit by Israeli army fire while waiting in line to receive food packages.

Also (Monday), the Gaza Health Organization announced that since the American-Israeli Humanitarian Fund began its activities on May 27, 75 people have been killed by Israeli army artillery fire while waiting in line to receive aid at food parcel distribution centers.

According to this Palestinian source, another 27 people were martyred (Tuesday) while waiting in line for food distribution.

Haaretz wrote: Despite the Israeli army’s denials of shooting Gazans in a food distribution line, videos and eyewitness testimony provided to the newspaper by a soldier present at the incident reinforce the claim that the shooting that killed dozens of Palestinians near food distribution centers last week was fired by the Israeli army.

Haaretz continued to deny the shooting by the forces of “Yasser Abu Shabab,” a member of the criminal gang affiliated with ISIS, and emphasized that the Israeli army targeted the people of Gaza in its attacks and killed them.
