Israel’s Deceptive Plan to Continue the Hunger War in Gaza.
Amid widespread global criticism of the Zionist regime’s hunger war against the Gaza Strip, the regime has presented a new deceptive plan for distributing humanitarian aid in the Strip, which has been met with widespread international opposition and Palestinian groups, who believe that this plan does not respond in any way to the current crisis in Gaza and perpetuates hunger and poverty there.
Absolute poverty for all the people of Gaza
This deceptive plan of the occupying regime, supported by the United States, is being presented at a time when more than 2 million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are suffering from food insecurity and lack the most necessities of life. International economic and human rights organizations believe that this Israeli plan is nothing more than an attempt to exert complete control over the flow of aid in line with the political and security goals of the regime.
Currently, more than 95 percent of Gazans, or in other words, all people in the Strip, are dependent on food aid. Of course, before the war, Gaza was under an Israeli blockade, and at least 30 percent of the population needed food aid to survive. This is a catastrophic indicator of the economic vulnerability of Palestinian families in Gaza, with the unemployment rate here rising to 83 percent and the poverty rate exceeding 90 percent.
Details of the Zionist Deceptive Plan for the Distribution of Aid in Gaza
A few days ago, the Israeli cabinet approved a plan to distribute humanitarian aid in Gaza through private American companies, ostensibly to prevent aid from reaching Hamas, but there are other goals behind it.
The Hebrew newspaper Jerusalem Post reported: According to this plan, Israel will distribute food aid in the Gaza Strip through several American companies, and 100 trucks will enter the strip daily, while 600 trucks entered daily during the ceasefire period.
The Israeli Channel 14 TV reported: While international assessments indicate that the Gaza Strip needs between 800 and 1,000 trucks carrying humanitarian aid daily, Israel will only allow one-sixth of the trucks to enter according to its new plan, which means that the hunger crisis in Gaza will continue and there is no sign of an end to this crisis.
The Zionist network added: This plan aims to meet the minimum food needs of Gaza residents, and aid will not enter the strip before next June, or perhaps for a longer period, when famine is devastating the population of the Gaza Strip.
