Israel’s economic recession; war with Iran left Zionists unemployed.

While Hebrew sources continue to provide a trickle of information about the losses inflicted on the Israeli regime in the war with Iran, a business outlet of the regime reported a significant increase in the unemployment rate among Israelis after the war with Iran.

The Israeli economic newspaper Calcalist reported that according to the Labor Force Survey data from the Central Bureau of Statistics in June 2025, we witnessed a significant jump in the unemployment rate in Israel, which is a direct result of the shutdown and economic crisis caused by the war with Iran.

According to the report, this jump in unemployment figures is unprecedented, and its impact on domestic economic stability cannot be ignored. According to official statistics, the widespread unemployment rate of Israelis increased from 4.2 percent in May, equivalent to 196 thousand people, to 10.1 percent, equivalent to 465 thousand people, in June, representing the withdrawal of half a million people from the active labor market.

The report continues: “These statistics do not necessarily indicate mass layoffs and layoffs, but rather indicate the general situation of forced unemployment among Israelis due to the closure of facilities and the inability to access workplaces.”
