PNN – In an analytical report, Al-Ahed newspaper examined the performance of the Israeli army’s Unit 8200, which is responsible for electronic interception and code decoding.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, this unit, which is considered the backbone of Israel’s espionage war against regional countries and operates in cooperation with the National Security Agency and the US Cyber Warfare Unit, was further exposed in the wake of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and the 12-day Iran-Israel war, and its image of intelligence superiority was eroded.
It is worth noting that one of the signs of this unit’s severe weakness was the attack by Lebanese Islamic Resistance fighters on its headquarters in the Negev Desert on August 30, 2024.
In this attack, the unit commander was targeted and survived only due to luck. This event showed that Unit 8200’s claim of complete control over the situation was nothing more than a lie and that its overreliance on technology was the organization’s main weakness.
On the other hand, experts believe that Unit 8200’s erroneous assessments of Iran’s response to Israel’s aggressive attack in the 12-Day War are another sign of this unit’s incompetence.
This unit had claimed that an Israeli attack would lead to the overthrow of the Iranian regime and that Iran would be unable to respond, but Iran’s massive response proved this claim to be false.
Also, one of the fundamental problems of Unit 8200 is the attempt to replace battlefield management with devices and artificial intelligence.
This approach has distorted the role of human resources in decision-making, and AI has become not only a tool for assistance, but also the main decision-maker; the malicious use of AI in the genocidal war in Gaza is an example of this approach.
Unit 8200 also faced defeat against the Lebanese Islamic Resistance fighters, Hezbollah, and failed to grasp the true power of this movement.
This unit also failed to convince the leaders of the Zionist regime that Hezbollah, despite the blows inflicted and even the martyrdom of its Secretary General, the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, is invincible and will never surrender to the Zionist enemy.
Finally, it can be said that one of the main reasons for the failure of Zionist policies in destroying the axis of resistance is the erroneous information and assessments that Unit 8200 provided to the leaders of the Israeli occupying army.
It is recalled that the Zionist regime’s Unit 8200, which was once a symbol of Israel’s intelligence superiority, today faces serious challenges to the humanitarian strategies and ideology of the resistance in the region.
