Italian Prime Minister and Two Ministers Accused of Complicity in Gaza Genocide.
According to the ANSA news agency, Meloni said on Tuesday night: “I, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, Defense Minister Guido Crusto and Leonardo CEO Roberto Sinolani have been referred to the International Criminal Court on charges of complicity in genocide.”
Speaking to Italian television station Rai1, he claimed: “We don’t think there is another case in the world or in history with such charges.”
Meloni also said that those who praise Hamas during demonstrations in support of Palestine are not “influencers” and “I have great respect for people who took to the streets for a matter of the heart.”
On Thursday, December 1, 2020, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and using hunger (starving the people of Gaza) as a weapon.
On the other hand, South Africa filed a complaint against the Zionist regime in December 2023 at the International Court of Justice, stating that the regime had violated the Convention on the Prevention of Genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Several countries, including Nicaragua, Cuba, Ireland, Colombia, Libya, Mexico, Palestine, Spain, Belize, and Turkey, have joined the complaint.
