Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan: We will bury any move to compromise with Israel.
During a press conference in Punjab, Siraj-ul-Haq considered any compromise with the Zionists to be a step contrary to the aspirations of the Palestinian people and to turn their backs on the common goal of liberating the Holy City.
He said: that Israel is an illegitimate regime and should never be recognized if we in Pakistan do not recognize this illegitimate regime and we always stand by the oppressed Palestinian nation.
Jamaat-e-Islami leader warned Pakistani statesmen that we will bury any attempt to compromise with Israel.
Criticizing the passive approach of some countries’ rulers towards the Palestinian issue, he stated that Arab countries’ compromise with Israel is like turning their backs on the Palestinian cause and the Palestinians’ fight for the liberation of Jerusalem.
Last Monday, Pakistan’s Minister of Information considered the non-recognition of the Zionist occupation regime as the country’s traditional and principled position and emphasized that we respect the foreign relations of other countries, but no country can force Pakistan to change its position on Israel.
In recent days, figures and leaders of religious groups in Pakistan have expressed their concern about new but hidden efforts to pressure the country to join the ranks of the compromisers with Israel.
Hojjat-ul-Islam Jafari, the head of Pakistan’s Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslim Party, warned that there are whispers of bringing Pakistan to a compromise with the Zionists, but the people of Pakistan, following the thoughts of the late founder of this country, will continue to support the Palestinian nation and be free of any interaction with the Zionist occupation regime.
