PNN – The Zionist newspaper “Jerusalem Post” announced the zero activity of the port of Eilat (Um al-Rasrash) in the south of occupied Palestine following the continuous military and punitive operations of the Yemeni army in the Red Sea.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Jerusalem Post newspaper, in a report quoted by the research department of the US Congress, added that the Yemeni army has attacked Zionist targets in the occupied territories at least 53 times since the start of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation on October 7, 2023.
The newspaper added: Yemen’s Ansarullah movement not only attacks Israel directly, but also targets ships that try to enter the port of Eilat through the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab strait. And this issue has reduced and stopped the economic activities of Eilat port to zero.
Gideon Gulber, executive director of Eilat port, said: Yemen is trying to suffocate Eilat port and its economy. So that the equipment and staff of this port are now unused.
He added: The ships that were traveling between Israel and Asian countries, now have to bypass Africa to escape Yemeni attacks, and this issue is the cost and time of arrival of the cargo and the possibility of being targeted in other areas such as the coast of South Africa or the strait.

Gulber said: America should confront the Yemenis in a more serious way before the situation worsens, because if they are allowed to carry out more operations at a time when they see America as a weak country, the problem will get bigger.
The Zionist newspaper Jerusalem Post continued: “Ashdod” port (in the west of the occupied territories) is also waiting for such a fate because this port and “Haifa” port are in the range of Lebanese Hezbollah missiles.
“Richard Hussey”, a maritime security expert and the director of “Woftrin” company, said: “Intensification of the conflict will lead to more attacks and the closure of trade and changing the route of goods.”
In the past months, in support of the people of Gaza, the Yemeni armed forces have targeted the ships of the Zionist regime or ships carrying goods for this regime that were heading to the occupied territories in the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Bab al-Mandab strait.
The Yemeni armed forces have pledged to continue attacking the ships of this regime or the ships bound for the occupied territories until the Israeli regime does not stop its attacks on the Gaza Strip and the killing of the people of this region.
The United States and England have attacked the positions of Yemeni forces on several occasions under the pretext of protecting international shipping, but according to international experts, these measures have not been able to curb and deter attacks on ships belonging to the Zionist regime in the Red Sea.
