Meanwhile, French TV published a report on Friday that President Emmanuel Macron promised that Paris would send Mirage 2000 fighter jets to Ukraine.

In this regard, the French president added that Paris intends to train Ukrainian pilots as well.

After meeting with Ukrainian President Vilodymyr Zelensky at the Elysee Palace, he added that France is training 4,500 Ukrainian soldiers.

In his Friday morning remarks, Macron did not specify how many Mirages France would provide to Ukraine, for how long, or under what financial terms.
