PNN – The Speaker of the US House of Representatives announced that this Republican-dominated legislative body will not review the plan to provide billions in aid to Ukraine and other parties, even if it is approved by the Senate.
According to Pakistan News Network, AFP reported that the $95 billion package also includes financial aid to Israel in the war in Gaza and Taiwan, although the bulk of it – $60 billion – should be allocated to Ukraine to provide ammunition, weapons and other vital needs for the country in its third year of war.
This plan, which may be voted on by senators in a few hours, does not include changes in the US immigration policy.
The previous plan, which included both border issues and foreign aid, was defeated by Johnson’s colleagues in the Senate. At that time, Johnson had warned that the House would oppose such a plan due to concerns about inadequate handling of illegal border crossings.

Mike Johnson said in a statement: From the very beginning of the debates, the republicans of the parliament clearly stated that in every resolution related to national security, the fact that national security starts from the borders of our country should be recognized.
Johnson’s opposition to the said plan puts him in conflict with Mitch McConnell, the Republican minority leader of the Senate.
AFP reported: McConnell, without naming Donald Trump, asked his colleagues to reject the isolationist approach of the former president and his allies in the parliament and to think about the message that the lack of US support for Ukraine and other democratic countries would send.
