Jolani’s secret meeting with the Israeli regime’s internal security advisor in Abu Dhabi.

Al-Mayadeen reported, citing informed diplomatic sources, that Ahmed al-Sharaa, known as Abu Muhammad al-Julani, who calls himself the head of the Syrian transitional government, recently met with Tzahi Hanegbi, the Israeli internal security adviser, in Abu Dhabi.

According to the report, both officials arrived in Abu Dhabi on separate but simultaneous flights, and their meeting was held with the direct coordination of UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed.

According to these sources, this meeting is part of the ongoing secret negotiations between Damascus and Tel Aviv.

The sources also revealed a level of coordination between some of the new Syrian security services with the Israeli regime.

These diplomatic sources told Al-Mayadeen that during these talks, Ahmed al-Sharaa announced his readiness to cede the occupied Golan Heights to the Israeli regime, provided that he receives support to remain at the head of Syrian power.

In addition, these sources also revealed: Reports indicate that three buffer zones are to be established in southern Syria soon, which will include the provinces of “Daraa”, “Quneitra” and “Suwayda”. According to the initial agreement, the Syrian army must withdraw all its heavy weapons from these areas and will only be allowed to deploy its forces with light weapons in the aforementioned areas.

Meanwhile, the Zionist media reported that a Syrian businessman and political activist, who recently traveled to the occupied territories, conveyed a message from Golani to the Knesset (Israeli parliament).

The media revealed that Golani emphasized in his message the need to take advantage of “historic regional opportunities that only occur once every hundred years” to advance the process of normalizing relations.

The report was published today after a source in the Syrian Information Ministry said on Tuesday that rumors about meetings between the head of the Syrian interim government, Ahmed al-Shara, and Israeli officials have not stopped during his trips to regional countries.

The Israel Hayom newspaper also denied reports on Tuesday about a meeting that was said to have taken place in Abu Dhabi on Monday between Israel’s internal security adviser, Tzahi Hanegbi, and the head of the Syrian interim government.

Earlier, US Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barak revealed that talks between Syria and Israel had begun and that both were in a hurry to reach an agreement.

He did not elaborate on the level of the talks or the people involved.

A few days ago, the Zionist network i24NEWS reported, citing a “Syrian informed on the matter,” that Ahmed al-Shara met with senior Israeli security officials in the UAE last April.

In late June, the American website Axios reported, citing American and Israeli officials, that Washington wants to gradually improve relations between Syria and the Israeli regime, while Tel Aviv seeks peace guarantees.
