Jordan: Gaza has become a graveyard for children and international laws

PNN – Jordan’s Foreign Minister stressed: Gaza has become a cemetery not only for children but also for international law, and its consequences are devastating.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, Ayman al-Safadi said: “There is a humanitarian disaster in Gaza, and killing and depriving children of food cannot be justified.”

He stressed: Depriving the Agency for Relief and Employment for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and cutting off financial aid to it is tantamount to participating in the killing of Palestinian children.

The head of Jordanian diplomacy continued: There is no substitute for UNRWA and all the property given to this agency is effective in saving people’s lives.

He stated: Israel [regime] is using hunger as a weapon in the Gaza war and this tragedy will not end unless the war stops.

Jordan’s Foreign Minister continued: Instead of sending weapons to Israel, delegations should be sent to press for a ceasefire. The cabinet of the Zionist regime is run by extremist elements and they should not be allowed to continue killing.

Referring to the threats of the Zionist regime to attack Rafah, he also stated: Entering Rafah will lead to disaster, but Israel does not pay attention to the demands of the international community.

In this regard, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has also announced: Sending humanitarian aid to Gaza requires an immediate ceasefire. The two-state solution is a sustainable solution to the Palestinian-Israeli problem. The killing and destruction in Gaza has reached an unprecedented level.

He stated: The necessity of delivering aid to Gaza is to open the crossings and remove the restrictions on the part of Israel.

Guterres stressed: It is unacceptable to prevent the movement of UNRWA convoys to the north of Gaza. There is nothing that justifies the collective punishment of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups launched the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime, and finally, on November 24, 2023, a four-day temporary ceasefire was established between Israel and Hamas, or the pause for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel.

This pause in the war continued for seven days and finally on Friday morning (December 1, 2023) the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks against Gaza.

In order to retaliate against the “Al-Aqsa Storm” attacks and compensate for its failure and stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed all the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced yesterday that after 170 days of continuous attacks by the Zionist regime against the residents of Gaza, the number of Palestinian martyrs has increased to 32,226 and during this period 74,518 Palestinians have been injured due to the attacks of the Zionist regime.
