PNN – The Jordanian Army targeted areas in southern Syria, located on its northern borders, under the pretext of attacking the positions of weapons and drug traffickers.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Al Jazeera, Jordan’s armed forces announced carrying out operations against weapons and drug traffickers in the northern border areas of the country with Syria.

Jordan’s Petra news agency, as the official media of the country, reported that the Jordanian army, within the framework of security measures, has targeted the activities of weapons and drug traffickers on the northern borders of the country.
According to this report, the Jordanian armed forces have also attacked centers used by smuggling groups as bases and starting points for infiltration into Jordanian territory.
On the other hand, Syria’s Al-Akhbariya network reported that after conducting airstrikes against drug traffickers around the Al-Suwayda province in southern Syria, the Jordanian army has fired illumination flares in its border areas with Syria to secure the borders.
This attack comes a few days after Jordan announced its participation with the United States in an operation on Syrian soil against the terrorist group ISIS.
