Journalists in Gaza have become military targets; the truth will not be killed.
The Zionist regime is trying to cover up its genocide by committing criminal and inhumane acts against the people of Gaza, especially journalists. The occupying army of Jerusalem believes in its naive imagination that the systematic killing of journalists in Gaza can prevent the reflection of the realities and crimes that have occurred in this region by creating fear and terror.
In this regard, we had a conversation with Sayyed Baqir al-Haidari, an Iraqi journalist and media expert, the details of which are given below;
As you know, not only in Gaza, but wherever a journalist is the voice of the right movement, the occupiers target him; during the 12-day imposed war against Iran, they bombed the glass building of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Organization, which resulted in the martyrdom of 3 journalists. In recent days, five journalists in Gaza were martyred while covering the first phase of the bombing of Nasser Hospital, bringing the number of Gaza journalists martyred since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Storm to 246. In your opinion, why is the Zionist regime targeting journalists in Gaza?
Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has become the largest cemetery for journalists in the world. More than 240 Palestinian journalists, including photographers, reporters, editor,s and field reporters, have been martyred to date in repeated and blatant attacks by the occupying forces of Jerusalem. In the past few days, five journalists were simultaneously martyred in a double attack near Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. The systematic killing of journalists in Gaza is a horrific crime that clearly shows that targeting media professionals is a deliberate policy rather than a sudden incident.
The Zionist regime targets journalists in Gaza because it fears the truth and knows that these journalists are witnesses to its crimes against civilians and will expose these crimes to the world. The occupiers have banned international press access to the Gaza Strip, closed the field to all but local journalists, and then turned them into daily targets. Press vests, cameras, and cars with “press” written on them have become direct targets. This is a systematic policy to silence Palestinian voices and suppress the truth.
