PNN – Without condemning the crimes of the Zionist regime against the Palestinians in Gaza, the US vice president said that the number of innocent civilians martyred by this regime in Gaza has become “excessive”.
According to the International group of Pakistan News Network, US Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that the Zionist regime “has the right to defend itself, but it must respect humanitarian and international laws, and too many innocent Palestinians have been killed.”
The words of this number two official of the American government were raised while the Ministry of Health of Gaza announced that at least 193 Palestinians were martyred and 650 others were injured during the new round of criminal attacks by the Zionist regime after the end of the temporary ceasefire.
Rejecting the Israeli regime’s claim, the ministry emphasized that there is no safe area and point in Gaza for civilians, and the crimes and actions of the occupiers against civilians refute their claim well.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Climate Change Summit in Dubai, the US vice president stated: “Frankly, the scale of civilian suffering and the images and videos coming out of Gaza are horrific.”

Harris also explained the US’s alleged view of Gaza after the war and claimed that the international community should support the reconstruction of Gaza and the Palestinian security forces should be strengthened.
In this regard, the US vice president stated that Hamas should no longer rule Gaza and claimed: “We want to see the Gaza Strip and the West Bank united under the supervision of the Palestinian Authority, and the aspirations and demands of the Palestinians should be the focus of this work.”
The Palestinian Authority, which is supported by the West, controls parts of the occupied West Bank, while Hamas took control of Gaza in 2007 from the Fatah party affiliated with Mahmoud Abbas, the head of this organization, and has been ruling since then.
Kamala Harris also met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Saturday on the sidelines of the Dubai Climate Conference.
Ahmed Fahmy, the official spokesman of the Egyptian presidency, said that El-Sisi and Harris emphasized their opposition to the forced migration of Palestinians.
According to Al Jazeera, Al-Sisi and Harris also emphasized the need to act to prevent the spread of war and support civilians in Gaza.
