PNN – The Iraqi Prime Minister announced the death of Abdullah Makki Musleh al-Rufai, one of the main ISIS officials in Syria and Iraq, at the hands of the country’s armed forces.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Waa news agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani announced that Iraqi National Intelligence Organization forces, with the support and coordination of the Joint Operations Command and international coalition forces, succeeded in killing Abdullah Makki Musleh al-Rufai, known as Abu Khadija.
He said that this individual, who was considered one of the most dangerous terrorists in the region and the world, held key positions, including deputy caliph, governor of Iraq and Syria, and head of foreign operations offices in the ISIS terrorist group.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani considered the operation a great victory for Iraq and its people and appreciated the role of security forces and international partners in this success.
He emphasized that the Iraqi government will continue to fight the remnants of terrorist groups and ensure the country’s security.
In 2014, the ISIS terrorist group, with the support of some Western and Arab parties, occupied large areas of Iraq, especially its western regions, and committed major crimes.
Iraq declared victory over the ISIS terrorist group in 2017 after three years of fighting, but scattered elements and cells of this terrorist group are still active in some areas of the provinces of Diyala, Kirkuk, Nineveh, Salahuddin, Anbar, and Baghdad.
