King of Jordan: The world should help solve the Palestinian issue.

According to Al Jazeera, Abdullah II, King of Jordan, during his speech at the 78th annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, expressed various regional and global issues, including the Palestinian issue.

The king of Jordan said in this speech: Until the world helps to end the conflict in our region, the problems of this region of the world will continue.

Abdullah II added: The sufferings and difficulties in our region will continue until the Palestinian issue is resolved and the conflict ends. 5 million Palestinians live under the rule of the occupiers, without any citizenship rights or freedom of movement.

He continued: More than 345 million people in the world face food insecurity and daily hunger or famine. Asylum seekers look to us for help to end the existing crises.

The King of Jordan said: UN agencies provide vital services to respond to the needs of refugees, but in recent months we have seen a decrease in the funding of these agencies. Refugees make up more than a third of Jordan’s population, and the reduction in support puts the lives of thousands of them at risk.

Referring to the crisis of Syrian refugees, Abdullah II added: The future of Syrian refugees is determined in their own country, not in the countries that host them, but we all must treat them well until they return to our country. A political solution to the Syrian crisis should be found based on UN Security Council Resolution 2250.
