According to ABC, amid the escalation of tension in the Middle East and the increase in terrorist operations by the Zionist regime after the assassination of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, John Kirby, the spokesman for the National Security Council of the White House, claimed that the “powerful” American military presence in the region will be maintained.
Referring to the dispatch of additional troops to the region since April this year and after Iran’s “Honest Promise” operation against Tel Aviv, Kirbi claimed: Our military capability (in the region) to defend ourselves and help Israel to defend itself is very strong.
In a separate statement, the Pentagon claimed that a strike group as well as a special naval unit had been ordered to remain active in the eastern Mediterranean. Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder added that the United States will strengthen its air defense capabilities in the region in the coming days.
Following the assassination and martyrdom of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah in the Zionist regime’s airstrikes against southern Lebanon on Friday, tensions in the Middle East region have intensified. However, the spokesperson of the National Security Council of the White House added that the United States currently has no plans to immediately evacuate its nationals from Lebanon.
