PNN – After Eli Shervit’s dismissal, just hours after his appointment, a wave of domestic criticism erupted against Netanyahu.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Naor Shiri, a member of the Israeli Knesset, wrote sarcastically on the social network X (formerly Twitter) in response to Eli Sherivit’s dismissal from the Shin Bet, an hour after his appointment:
Israel’s security is managed as if the prime minister were ordering a falafel sandwich. In the morning he appoints Elie Shervit as head of the Shin Bet, in the afternoon he dismisses him, as if he had sesame seed sauce on his falafel and he didn’t want any sauce. (The prime minister’s decisions on Israel’s security are very capricious and unstable.)
The Knesset member further wrote: Yair Netanyahu (Netanyahu’s son), the Israeli Consul General in Miami, USA, woke up and canceled this appointment.
The issue of Netanyahu’s family’s interference in his decisions is not a new one and has repeatedly caused protests in the Israeli regime.
