CNN reported that Trump will say during a meeting with his donors in 2024 that he previously tried to prevent Russia from attacking Ukraine by threatening Moscow with bombing.

Peskov said that “the number of fakes is often greater than the real information, and therefore it is not clear whether this audio file is authentic; there was no conversation at that time, we are talking about a period when Trump had not yet become president.”

The Kremlin spokesman also added about Trump’s recent rhetoric and his change of tone towards Moscow, “He (Trump) is known for using harsh words, but the Kremlin is dealing with this issue quite calmly.”

According to him, there is no disagreement between Russia and the United States regarding the war in Ukraine and “the parties are willing to resolve the issue through political and diplomatic means and to do so very quickly.”
