PNN – The Crown Prince of Kuwait called for the resumption of the peace process between the Palestinians and the occupiers, and described the country’s position as supporting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the June 1967 borders.

Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation in combating terrorism and extremism, organized crime, increasing the exchange of security information, and improving the ability to deal with crises during the activities of the second summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Malaysia.
Al-Sabah further reiterated Kuwait’s permanent position on the Palestinian issue and the right of the Palestinians to establish an independent state based on the June 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities and apply the necessary pressure to stop the aggression and ensure international protection of citizens.
The Crown Prince of Kuwait once again announced his country’s call for a serious resumption of the peace process between Palestine and the Zionist regime based on legitimate international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, and in this regard, he praised ASEAN’s positions in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and just issues.
Regarding Syria, the Crown Prince of Kuwait said that the countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council welcome the positive developments in this country and emphasize their support for all ongoing efforts to achieve security and stability and maintain the sovereignty of Syria and its territorial integrity.
